First Students of Süleyman Demirel University Nutrition and Dietetics Department Took a New Beginning with Professional Orientation
Süleyman Demirel University Department of Nutrition and Dietetics organized an introductory event for students at the beginning of the 2024-2025 Academic Year within the scope of the "Professional Orientation" course with the participation of the Department Orientation Committee Chair Assoc. Prof. Dr. Aliye KUYUMCU and the committee members.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Aliye KUYUMCU informed the students about the department and wished them a successful year. In addition, the department, which accepted students for the first time this year, offered Isparta apples, a geographically indicated product of Isparta, and chocolate to its first students for the purpose of introducing the city and for motivation. In this way, the department aimed to both encourage healthy eating habits and highlight regional values. The students were conveyed good wishes from the Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences Prof. Dr. Ferdi BAŞKURT and the Head of the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics Prof. Dr. Nurgül ŞENOL, and the Süleyman Demirel University Orientation Brochure and the Nutrition and Dietetics Department Orientation Booklet, which included the message of the President of Süleyman Demirel University Prof. Dr. Mehmet SALTAN to the students, were shared with the students so that they could learn about the department and the university in their first year.
The Department of Nutrition and Dietetics aims to enrich the academic and social lives of students with such events. Many more events are planned to support the professional orientation of students.
