About Us
Dietitians are health professionals who have successfully completed at least a 4-year Nutrition and Dietetics undergraduate program and are entitled to practice and practice this profession by obtaining the “Nutrition and Dietetics Undergraduate Diploma” and the title of “Dietitian”. Dietitian is the only authorized professional group that knows food and nutrition in the best way, investigates and evaluates health problems arising from food and nutrition, informs and raises awareness of the society about adequate and balanced nutrition, plans, educates, implements and monitors medical nutrition therapy programs in accordance with other medical treatments in diseases and other special cases. The aim of the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics is to protect and improve health and to contribute to society by conducting studies and research in this field in order to raise awareness of adequate and balanced nutrition in society. In our department, there are 1 professor, 2 associate professors, 1 doctoral faculty member, and 3 academic staff. The Department of Nutrition and Dietetics was opened in 2012 and started to admit students in the 2024-2025 Academic Year.
