“Traditional Grain Salads with the Grains of Anatolia” Tasting Event was Held at SDU
Within the scope of Süleyman Demirel University 21-27 May Turkish Cuisine Week, “Traditional Grain Salads Tasting Event with the Grains of Anatolia” was organized with the theme of “Turkish Cuisine Classics” with the contributions of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Nutrition and Dietetics and the Department of Health, Culture and Sports. The event was held on May 27, 2025 at the 19 May Student Amphitheater.
At the event, healthy and nutritious salads prepared with traditional grains from Anatolia's rich culinary culture were presented to the participants. The recipes prepared using local grains attracted attention with their taste and nutritional value.
At the stands prepared by the students of the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics, information was given about the positive effects of traditional cereals on health and the importance of balanced eating habits was emphasized.
The event contributed to the promotion of local and healthy elements of Turkish cuisine and was highly appreciated by university staff and students.
