The Opening of the Principles of Nutrition Laboratory and the Anthropometry Laboratory Took Place
The Department of Nutrition and Dietetics of the Faculty of Health Sciences at Süleyman Demirel University opened the Principles of Nutrition Laboratory and the Anthropometry Laboratory with the aim of strengthening its educational infrastructure and increasing opportunities for hands-on learning for students.

The opening ribbons were cut by SDU Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Gençtürk, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences Prof. Dr. Ferdi Başkurt, and Head of the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics Assoc. Prof. Dr. Aliye Kuyumcu. The ceremony was attended by Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Prof. Dr. Sabriye Ercan, Head of the Department of Administrative and Financial Affairs Kazım Kahraman, Branch Manager Bekir Türk, Head of the Department of Health, Culture and Sports Gültaze Gül, branch managers, faculty members, and students.

In his opening speech, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Gençtürk emphasized the university’s goals of strengthening infrastructure in applied education and stated that the new laboratories would make significant contributions to students’ professional competencies. Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences Prof. Dr. Ferdi Başkurt noted that despite the short time remaining before the start of the academic year, the laboratories were completed rapidly thanks to the coordinated efforts carried out with administrative units and the rectorate. He also added that he believes students will graduate better equipped thanks to this modern infrastructure.

Following the speeches, participants toured the laboratories and received information about the new working areas and educational infrastructure. Evaluations were made regarding future research projects, student practices, and the academic goals of the department.
