"Standard Portion Sizes" Training for Cafeteria Staff
A training session on “Standard Portion Sizes in Mass Catering Systems” was organized for the cafeteria staff of Süleyman Demirel University Health, Culture, and Sports Department. The training took place on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. in the Prof. Dr. Lütfü Çakmakçı Cultural Center and was delivered by Asst. Prof. Müberra Yıldız, a faculty member of the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics at SDU.
The session covered topics such as portioning principles, the importance of standardized recipes, and weight control. Supported with practical examples, the training aimed to enhance the staff’s skills in accurate portioning. At the end of the session, participants were thanked, and it was emphasized that kitchen staff play an indispensable role in maintaining the university’s commitment to providing high-quality, balanced, and healthy nutrition services.
