“Nutrition Awareness and Healthy Living During Ramadan” Workshop Held
The program titled “Nutrition Awareness and Healthy Living Education During Ramadan,” organized in collaboration between the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics at the Faculty of Health Sciences, Süleyman Demirel University, and Tazelenme University, was held at the SDU Guest House.

As part of the “University of Rejuvenation” program at Süleyman Demirel University—which aims to support older adults’ more active participation in social, cultural, and academic life—the program addressed healthy eating habits and dietary considerations during the month of Ramadan.

During the program, Assistant Professor Müberra Yıldız, in her presentation titled “The Building Blocks of Healthy Eating,” discussed the fundamental principles of a balanced diet and the importance of making the right food choices during Ramadan. Assistant Professor Elif Çelik, in her presentation titled “From Suhoor to Iftar: Proper Nutrition During Ramadan,” shared key points to consider for suhoor and iftar meals, emphasizing the importance of portion control and adequate fluid intake. At the end of the training session, participants’ questions were answered, and recommendations were shared on how to observe the month of Ramadan in a healthy and mindful way.
