“Leave Stress Behind, Eat Well, Breathe, Be Aware” Event was Held
Within the Faculty of Health Sciences, an event titled “Leave Stress Behind, Eat Well, Breathe, Be Aware” was held on April 10, 2025 under the leadership of the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics to draw attention to the Health Week. The program, organized within the scope of Sports Friendly Campus Activities, started with the opening speeches of Prof. Dr. Ferdi Başkurt, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Aliye Kuyumcu, Head of the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics.
The event drew attention to physical and mental well-being, which is neglected in the pace of daily life; ways to cope with stress, healthy eating recommendations, breathing techniques and mindfulness-oriented practices were included. The event was held interactively with intense student participation.
Within the scope of the program; Research Assistant from the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics. Research Assist. Dr. Müberra Yıldız from the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics, “Stress Control: Balance Hidden in Your Plate” by Associate Prof. Dr. Elif Aşık from the Department of Nursing, ”Finding a Piece of Peace in This Crazy World: Stress Management with Mindfullness” by Prof. Dr. Elif Aşık from the Department of Nursing, and ‘Finding a Piece of Peace in This Crazy World: Stress Management with Mindfullness’ by Research Assist. Pınar Yaşar from the Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation presented “The Path to Mental Balance: Beat Stress with Yoga and Breathing”.
