White Coat Ceremony of the Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Students
The traditional “White Coat Ceremony” for the students of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, was held with great enthusiasm and the participation of students, academic staff, and distinguished guests.
In the opening speech, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences and Head of the Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, Prof. Dr. Ferdi Başkurt, emphasized the responsibilities that come with being a healthcare professional and the symbolic meaning of the white coat. He highlighted the importance of students growing into ethical and responsible professionals committed to the values of their profession.
We were honored to welcome Kadriye Tombak, a member of the Executive Board of the Turkish Physiotherapists' Association (TPA), who joined the ceremony and shared in the excitement of our students on this meaningful occasion. We sincerely thank Ms. Tombak for her participation and support.
Following the speeches, students experienced the joy and pride of donning their white coats, symbolizing the beginning of their professional careers, with the support of their academic mentors. The ceremony concluded with commemorative photographs taken together with students and their families.
